C*rses!

this weekend, I've been watching Hell's Kitchen Season 6. I love all the drama of a reality tv show, however, my ears nearly dropped off from all the cursing, and swearing, and bitching!well, I'm no saint, but seriously, I did get OD-ed on curse words while watching this show. Everyone curses, chef Gordon Ramsay cursed, the other chefs cursed. and now its messing with my head, now I have the tendency to say the F word (just in my mind, though) when something's not right, I really hope it won't escape my mouth. I'd really hate to turn to people who curse in every sentence they're saying.

Why do people curse, anyway? there are a lot of curse words, in almost every language, even Harry Potter's magical world has them (e.g.: mudblood!). I think cursing is one of the people's expression towards anger, annoyance or frustration. People express anger in loads of way, verbal, words, facial expression, even strange acts (as in passive anger). and by cursing, you're showing that you're upset, plus bringing down the person/object/event that's responsible for creating the anger. thus, its like letting some air out of an exploding balloon, it kinda will make you feel a bit relieved.

However, use inappropriately (like cursing at every tiny little mistakes or just with no reason at all), it kinda showed that you're an idiot, with no social ettiquette or low IQ or EQ level. because curse words are "bad words" or taboos which are not generally accepted by our cultures, and its rude and it could hurt people's feelings and it could lead to fights and all the negative things. Its also not professional, unless you're like no. 1 in the world (kinda like Gordon Ramsay). I'm not saying that all high and mighty people should curse people beneath them. its just, they could, but they shouldn't.

and ego could only come with intelligence. ego + stupidity = FATAL combination.
