im getting lazy to update my blog. maybe im just not in the writing mood right now.
last sunday night, my friends and i went to watch Batman: The Dark Knight. the movie's really great. i even got a car sticker of the movie! i love Heath Ledger as the Joker. his acting was really good its SO creepy. too bad he died right after filming the movie. he wouldnt know the movie hit box office record so hard its became a "cultural phenomenon" just like Titanic had.
and when we got back to our apartment, the guard told us that we couldnt enter the college coz its past midnight! like, hello! this is college, not a boarding school! we got an earful from the guard before sending us away. so we had to stay at a friend's house. it was a NIGHTMARE! we had to share a bed, and i couldnt sleep much because there were not enough pillow. well, actually there were some, but my good kind-hearted, united as one, all for one and one for all, the Spartan-y unity spirited best friends decided not to use pillows. paraphrased "if one does not use pillow, all must not". and me, the passive aggressive queen, sulked and threw tantrum as much as possible, as quiet as possible. just at that point, i hated my life.
and yesterday, we learned the basic trauma life support. its kinda fun. my chest compressions were perfect (there are monitors connected to the mannequin showing how many chest compression you've done, and how many you got right) so i got 30/30.
and in the afternoon, my group presented a seminar about medical emergency. i presented about respiratory system related emergencies. and i think we did pretty well.
and today, we're free in the morning, and we're just gonna have to go to the hospital for the evening shift (2pm - 8pm).

jigoku shoujo futakomori
just finished watching this anime. in my opinion, its better than the first season. coz in this season, it tells more about the characters' histories, and the human were getting more evil it kinda reminded me of death note-y evil. and the ending's kinda sad. well it also hinted that the 3rd season is coming soon, and its Hotline to Hell is now up-graded into mobile form. cant wait to see it!
anyways, its the first day of "Accident & Emergency (ANE)" posting. today morning's kinda boring with lectures, but the evening was pretty fun with the practicals and stuff. i've successfully intubated a mannequin and a baby mannequin. also, i did an intraosseos line on a fake leg and set IV line on a fake arm. so yeah, its kinda fun.

weekend
friday morning, watched an autopsy. its an autopsy of a 12 year old girl, who had died 5 days ago. the family requested an autopsy for insurance stuff coz the girl died without a known cause. its my first time watching a full autopsy or a decomposing body. so its pretty gruesome and i gagged once. the mask didnt help at all. it took some time to get use to the whole process. im glad i survived the whole thing without fainting or even vomiting. and i need to observe one more autopsy to complete my forensic log book.
friday afternoon, presented the molecular genetics seminar. i had to say it went better than i've expected. i really understand what im presenting, so its kinda easy. and the benefit is that i learned and understood something that my mind would've stubbornly rejected. so yeah, now i understand more of molecular genetics and proved that we can learn anything at all.
saturday morning, did nothing much, just read some slides, study for exam on monday. watched some "Liar Game" drama when i was bored. its a japanese drama about liar game. its a game where people lied to each other to get money. and people who lose would have a 100 million yen of debt. the lying, conspiracy, and stuff are pretty good. with the suspense and all. however the drama is just a little bit TOO dramatic. like just so dramatic.
saturday afternoon, went out with mom. she visited here coz she's bringing 2 of her students to go to the water rocket competition. where they had to build a rocket that can go as far as possible. despite the successful trials, their rocket didnt function as expected at the day of the competition. maybe its because its influenced by loads of factors, such as wind, weather and stuff. so basically, it all depends on the luck of the team. whether the wind was on their side, or not. so yeah, my mom;s team didnt win anything. but they've successfully made the water rocket, so its something to be proud of.
saturday night, went shopping with mom, bought loads of things, clothes, bags, and stuff. im feeling SOOO happy~
and when my cousin sent me back to college, it was 11.15 pm. and there the tragedy happened. i met the "bodoh sombong" guard. he banned the car from entering and forced me to walk on my own, in the dark, all the way to the college. that freaking idiot! he even shouted and used bad words at us. where the heck is the manners and the so-called humility the so-called eastern people with cultures malaysians are boasting of?? i cant believe a person who is old, with belly that shows chronic build up of fats, the wrinkles that shows ageing or maybe chronic frowns, and the grey hair surrounding a balding scalp, has no experience whatsoever in MANNERS. maybe he's just feeling bored and decided to yell at us for fun? i dont know. i know i did nothing wrong and he totally obviously enjoying the abuse of power to torture students. he IS the epitomy of "bodoh sombong".
so i had to walk a long way, in the dark, alone, but i wasnt scared. i was too filled up with rage and anger to feel any fear at that time. i think i could beat a mugger to a pulp if there's any. huh! anyways, yeah, i stomped into our apartments and ranted to my housemates about my case. it seems like Sarah has had the same experience too! that idiotic "bodoh sombong" guard. we hates him! we hates him! totally spoiled my evening =.=!!

I.SERIOUSLY.AM.DYING!!
like seriously! i am being silently tortured, murdered, smothered by real time quantitative PCR or whatever!!
everything is just too hard. i dont speak genetics! i dont get A thing!! and hello, clinical research, statistics?? thats like the ultimate concoction of death potion!!
this like, contributes 10% of my marks. what the heck should i do? i'd have to read everything by today, expected to know more than 50% of the journal. and by tomorrow, the presentation slides should be ready, practice presentation on thursday, then gonna have to present in front of everyone + 2 lecturers that would love to kill us with questions (if the PCR hasnt murdered us enough :P)
anyways, enough ranting, i'd just have to find a way to understand the basics and like, MEMORIZE (not comprehend) the facts, so i can answer and look like i know everything.
